System Engaged: MODERN HEL, Blitzkid's first full-length (13 song) studio album in 16 years, has achieved singularity.
Pressed on 180 gram vinyl and housed in a gatefold jacket with a metallic silver foil overlay, the artwork carries a cold, sentient sheen that shifts with the light across both the exterior and interior panels.
The inner gatefold panel contains a bonus CD edition of the album printed in silver ink on a mirrored surface for a stripped, machine-like finish.
Each copy also includes a 4" round sticker and a 4x4 hand-numbered canvas patch, individually marked by Argyle Goolsby. Each patch is numbered in sequence as orders arrive, giving every copy a unique position within the framework of this first pressing. Inspired by the film Metropolis, where numbers replace names, it ties and invites each listener into the dystopian world at the core of this album.
